      In 1991 with over 30 years experience in electronic travel distribution, Jerry Bynum began Travel Information Management Services, Inc (TIMS). Jerry developed the first-ever, specialized, revenue management tool that would provide hotel managers with a way to speed up the time-consuming research and analysis of rates from their competitors. This tool was designed to help revenue managers who were trying to yield their rates in various electronic channels using labor-intensive methods such as call-arounds. The result was an easy-to-read Report that analyzed future rate and availability information for hotels and their competitors using data collected directly from each hotel company's Central Reservation Systems (CRS) via Seamless connectivity from the Global Distribution Systems (GDS). The TIMS Competitive Rate Analysis Report, or TIMS Report, gave hotel managers the information they needed to make better pricing and yield management decisions.

      In 1992, Denise was brought on the TIMS team to streamline operations and create Customer Service practices. In 1997, TIMS was the first to secure "seamless" GDS data for the TIMS Reports thereby embracing the latest hotel rate distribution technology. Seamless supplied the most accurate and timely rate information possible making the TIMS Report the most accurate rate Report available. In 2001, TIMS expanded the Reports by adding three additional rate categories and three graphs to the base Report. These additions, AAA, Senior citizen and Government rates, were analyzed separately to create the most complete and comprehensive rate Report available.

      In 2002, TIMS began seeking a solution to the increasing challenge of coordinating future rates and availability through the diverse, unlinked and ever changing, Internet Travel distribution channels. By early October 2002, they announced Internet rates would be analyzed in a new supplement to the TIMS Report called the iTIMS Report. Now in one, easy-to-read Report, Internet rates from both travel websites and hotel websites will be compared to each other and to Seamless Rates distributed via GDS. In addition to the Report, subscribers will have access to iTIMS Online which is an exclusively "live" shopping service giving hoteliers the ability to shop their hotel and their competitors 24 hours a day for 7 days a week.

      All TIMS team members are trained in-house on our unique process, which includes strict control procedures. We take the time to review and ensure that each Report is complete even when Central Reservation links did not connect at the time the data was retrieved. The TIMS time-tested and unique procedures allow our subscribers to trust the accuracy of the TIMS Report week after week.
